TravelNurseSource is working with InstantServe LLC to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Rochester, New York, 14617 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - MedSurg / Telemetry Location: Rochester, New York, 14617 Shift: 12-Hour Nights (6p-6a), Weekend nights: Friday, Saturday, Sunday Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Contract Duration: 14 weeks Job Overview: We are seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) with MedSurg/Telemetry experience for a travel assignment on their MedSurg unit. This position requires a commitment to weekend night shifts and the ability to float to other MedSurg/Telemetry floors as needed. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care while working collaboratively with the healthcare team. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care in the MedSurg/Telemetry unit, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care based on the patient's condition. Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms, responding to any abnormalities. Administer medications, perform treatments, and provide education to patients and families. Document patient care and changes in the patient's condition promptly and accurately. Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care. Float between other MedSurg/Telemetry floors as needed. Minimum Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 2 years' recent MedSurg/Telemetry nursing experience. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an active Registered Nurse (RN) license. License/Certifications: Current New York State RN license or compact state RN license with multistate privileges (or ability to obtain prior to the start date). Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association. ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred.
